Astanda Directory Project 2 – Development Info

We are in process of developing Astanda Directory Project 2, which will be much more advanced than its predecessor, as well much more optimized and secure. We have decided that the project will be developed under a different name as well; this is to help deter any confusion the name may cause because we do not own the original domain.

This is a ground-up rewrite and may take a while, but we want to make sure we get it right, so it will be well worth the wait. There will be an upgrade path from prior versions, so upgrading will be a no-brainer. We will also be providing small updates for the 1.3.x branch during this transition, so no fear, your bugs may just get fixed before the 2.x.x branch!

We plan on compiling a list of features to be added so we can get feedback from the end-users.
